Springfield is located in the southeast corner of the state. We are a farming and cattle ranching community with plenty of sunshine, and usually have mild winters. Our summers are normallyhot and getting hotter each year. The historic Town of Springfield is a Statutory Town that is the County seat and most populous town of Baca County, Colorado, United States.

Schools
Theaccredited public educational system has approximately 350 students in a K-12 setting. A regional preschool is nearby.

How many Springfields are there?
Officially, there are 13 cities, 11 towns, and 14 townships, for a total of 38. Of these, only 16 are incorporated cities or towns.

Of the 11 towns, 4are in Wisconsin. In some states (like Wisconsin), towns are the equivalent of townships. 

Of the 14 townships, 9 are in Pennsylvania, 2 are in Michigan, 2 are in New Jersey, and 1 is inMinnesota.

Swimming Pool
 The swimming pool is a wonderful way to cool off during the hotsummer months!
 The pool opens Memorial Day Weekend and runs through mid August. 
Pool Party:  $55 for a party

Sit and enjoy the shade in the gazebo or stand by thebridge to watch all the fish in the pond!  
Memorial Park is a great place to relax after a day of shopping in Springfield!

Tennis Courts and Skateboard Park

SPORTS
The junior and senior high school 1A sports are: softball, 8-man football, volleyball, basketball, track, wrestling and baseball.
