American Red Cross

The American Red Cross has come across many different unethical issues, which I personally would have never thought of because I had the impression of being an organization of good which by onlyit's name is recognized world wide, and that their main point is to help people. Or so I thought. With all the affairs going on and money stealing involved, all the misconduct of several stakeholders,which main point was to profit themselves, is good to know that they got caught because is sad to find out that if some of us who do donate to these types of organizations the money being donated isnot being used for it's purpose. After what happened in September 11 attack the American red Cross they received $543 million in pledges, and they announced that about more than half of it was destinedto help, but only about one third of it was distributed for the relief of 9/11. That is totally unethical and disgusting.

After reading some reviews of people who have donated to theAmerican Red Cross, I came across some good and bad reviews, obviously by donating blood we can't see the ethical aspects of them, but we can see that in some reviews people complain of rude people andpeople that are not trained enough to do their job, "The staff was downright rude and they used a 16-gauge needle (a big one) on me. They poked my wife 6 times (NOT exaggerating) before they found avein". This is an example of a donor's review

Things like these just makes us wonder if we should drop a dollar in a charity jar we see at different locations, like store and namepharmacies. It seems to me as I read this case that clearly the wrong people were put in the wrong position to handle the donations, people that are cold towards doing right from wrong and easily tempted,careless of the meaning of the American Red Cross purpose.
