I think the main topic in this chapter is the sell of the wood to the Government and why Luke has to hide.

Personal Impression
Luke and his family live in a mountain and he usually is inside the house. One day Luke discovers that his family sold the woods and he gets very confusing about it, because normally he was always looking outside the window thebeauty of the forest and that day he saw everything brighter because of the threes that were laid on the ground, he didn’t saw more shade. His family also were discussing about hidden Luke from the Government people or the fertilize salesman because they can’t know that he exists.

Main Topic
In this chapter Luke’s mother explain to him why he has to hide.

Personal Impression
Luke was sad becausehe wants to go to the school, have friends, play with other kids and he thought that growing up would be the end of hidden, but it was not. So, he asks to his mother why he was the only person who was to hide from all the people. His mother explains to him that the government does not permit to have more than two children per family because of the population law. Luke tries to help his mothersaying that it is okay for him to keep hidden because he is special, he is a secret.
