Animal Farm Book Review:

Animal Farm is novel wrote by the English author and journalist, it wasfirst published in 1945 in England. It was first very ignored by the public, but through the years it started to cause a snowball effect onto Americans and world wide public. I think is a great novelbecause it explains politics in their whole context. Basically the book is about a farm in which the animals rebel and start controlling the farm, it is reflected to the Stalin Era in Russia. The bookis now one of 100 best English novels.

The book is great because it reflects the Stalin Era in which corruption was always present and little by little Stalin’s government was getting to be as theon they pulled out. It’s very obvious how he, didn’t talk about Stalin and his government, but he used an analogy to describe it. It’s awesome how Orwell managed to create an analogy in which, at thestart, everything is beautiful, and then corruption makes the farm go astray. Though you must need to know some history of the Russian Revolution, you can actually get the point.

The maincharacters are Napoleon, representing Joseph Stalin, though he also represents all of those dictators in the world, those corrupt opportunists who never contribute in the revolution; Snowball, representingLeon Trotsky, who was fully involved in the concept of Animalism and spreading it through the farm, but rapidly he is converted as the enemy and gets to be the victim; Boxer, who represent the Russianworking class, he was fully dedicated and loyal, but he was exploited by the pigs, though his two slogans were: “Napoleon is always right” and “I will work harder”; Squealer, who represents howpoliticians manipulate the language to convince people, he was the one that talked for Napoleon; and finally, Old Major, who represents the ideal and the concept of Animalism, he was the one to give the...
