EXERCISE 10 – CASE STUDY: Hamilton banking

PURPOSE
The purpose of this exercise is to use a real life story and to better understand howscope is obtained from the information provided in the case. This is a true case, but the names have been changed to protect companies.
ACTIVITIES
The students can be given time to read the case (TheNew Account Project at HBC in Sec 2.3 of Evaluating Project Decisions), but should have read the case as homework before coming to class. A few minutes to help process the case or review might be inorder. The students will evaluate the case based on some basic questions. Each student is expected to participate in the discussion and with answers. For this exercise, these are the primaryquestions for the discussion. Each question will be discussed and then the students are expected to provide the information requested. Perform each of the following activities. If you have questions,issues, or doubts, please ask for help and do not just guess.
