Julio Cortázar, escritor argentino. Nació un 26 de Agosto de 1914 en Bruselas, trasladándose muy pronto a Buenos Aires. Estudió en la EscuelaNormal de Profesores Mariano Acosta, obteniendo el título de Maestro Normal en 1932. En 1935 se titula de Profesor Normal en Letras e ingresa en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras. Fue profesor de Lengua y Literatura francesa en varios institutos de Buenos Aires, y más tarde en la Universidad de Cuyo. En 1951 consigue una beca para estudiar en París y fue traductor de la UNESCO, tarea que realizóhasta su jubilación. Una de sus primeras obras, Los reyes (1949), es un poema en prosa centrado en la leyenda del Minotauro. Entre sus restantes obras se encuentran numerosos relatos breves, pudiéndose destacar: Todos los fuegos el fuego (1966), La vuelta al día en ochenta mundos (1967), Las armas secretas (1969), El libro de Manuel (1973), Un tal Lucas (1979), Deshoras (1982), El Examen (1986),...
