1. DEFINICIÓN
El análisis volumétrico o volumetría es un análisis cuantitativo basado en la valoración de una  muestraen solución y la medida del volumen de solución valorante necesario para hacerla reaccionar totalmente
En las valoraciones volumétricas se determina el volumen de una disolución de concentración conocida, que se necesita para reaccionar, de forma prácticamente completa con el analito.
Una disolución estándar de reactivo (o valorante estándar) es una disolución de reactivo de concentraciónconocida, que se usa para realizar un análisis volumétrico. Una valoración se hace añadiendo lentamente una disolución estándar de reactivo desde una bureta a una disolución de analito, hasta que la reacción entre los dos sea completa.
