This film was based in The last of Mohicans book. It occurs during the war between British and French. Most of the story occurs in the forest, and the nature as background. As the majority of films, we can see the protagonist and antagonist, Hawkeye and Magua respectively. Hawkeye is the main protagonist of this film, he is a white man who spent most of his life in the company of the Mohicans hasbecause his family was killed by the Huron tribe and the last chief of the Mohicans tribe, Chingachgook, adopted him. A strange mixture of intolerance and humanity, Hawkeye is able to reject most of his European heritage, but he can never be truly Indian. In contrast, Magua is the chief of the Huron tribe, he is the antagonist of the novel. His evil nature exists in austere contrast to the honorof the Mohicans. He is a villain because of the misfortunes he has suffered at the hands of British conquerors. We might see him as a case of colonization gone awry. For this reason Magua is a sympathetic and a deplorable character.

Hawkeye is the most important character, the good man, because he learned the traditions and language of the Mohican tribe. His hair style is untied long hair andnot shaved head in the sides as Magua has, the antagonist character, because he grew up with his British family until he lost them at the two age then Chingacgook adopted him. He is the unique character with a particular hair style. His new family is the Mohicans tribe, an honest and loyal tribe on the contrary of the Huron tribe. His dress is like Indian tribes, he wears breechcloth, longlegging, moccasins or Indian shoes and long sleeve shirt, and all his clothes have a natural color of animal skin. He always carries a long riffle, gunpowder, small knife, and small Indian axe in his back because his tribe has hunting and fighting skills but still he does not fight to gain problem, he uses the skills to protect and rescue others. His aim is absolutely precise, he does not loss a shotthus he shows how skilful is in shooting. He carries an Indian belt, Wampum Sash, over in his left shoulder to right side of his hip which symbolizes the legacy of the Mohican tribe.
Hawkeye is a strongly built white hunter and scout with a fearsome reputation. He is an experienced, independent, astute man, who knows the wilderness like the back of his hand. He regards as more honest. He has a deep,long-standing friendship with the two Mohicans, Uncas and Chingachgook. In the most battles between British troops and Huron tribe, Hawkeye leads the small Mohican group to rescue the British women. The small Mohican group is conformed by Hawkeye, Chingachgook, and Uncas. In the film, Hawkeye is the most reasonable and talkative Indian. He is most depicted character when he saves the two Britishwomen, at the end of the film when he protects the Chingachgook’s back by shooting Hurons who are in the Chingachgook way, and offering his life in exchange of the British Coronel Duncan and two British women. He speaks English and Mohican language because his offspring is European but he grew up in a Mohican tribe, and his tone is like secure, trusty and smart in every single word. Because hewas raised in a Mohican tribe, Hawkeye knows to track anyone in the forest, knows to fight without gun and sword, never lose a fight one by one. There are multiple of close up for Hawkeye when he shows emotions, activities during the physical conflicts, and when he talks.

On the other hand, the menacing villain, Magua is chief of the Huron warrior tribe and the main enemy of Hawkeye and hisparty. He is fierce and cunning by showing his behaviors, and speaking to anyone even to the Commanders and great chief of the Huron tribe. He is also known as a masterful, charismatic orator who can win the attention and sympathy of an audience. Magua has a complex history, he was born a Huron chief and a warrior, but Hurons expelled him from their tribe. At the beginning of the film, Magua is...
