MATILDA THE FILM!

Matilda was a 1996 film directed by Danny DeVito, based on the novel of the same name by Roald Dahl.

Matilda wormwood is an extremely intelligent girl with a bright personality. However, her mom and dad are irresponsible parents who would rather focus on their work than her own daughter. Ignored at home all the time, Matilda at a very young age escapes into a world ofreading and exercising her mind so much she develop certain powers. Finally her parents decide to sending this sweet girl to a proper school headed by a cruel principal “Trunchbull”, Matilda finds a single light when she met this adorable teacher called miss honey who recognizes Matilda’s remarkable skills. The central theme of the movie is very interesting and principally attracts small kids, the useof unreal and fantasy elements makes illusions on children due the fact this is a fantasy film. Some positive aspects this movie has is to create in small kids the initiative to learn by their own and to read as much as possible but as well it contains negative elements along the movie such as the bad relationship this girl tend to have with her parents by the way this treat her , the cruelpunishments they did to her and her friends as well and finally the job her dad has was to sell used cars at high prizes by telling they were knew in other words he was a layer.

This film contains key aspects that are the ones that make this movie so engaging to all kind of people. In my opinion this movie can be catalogued as Well as a comedy due to the fact that the movie counts with very funnyscenes that make everyone laugh, for instance Matilda always play with the feelings of the audience due the fact she uses her powers and intelligence for making silly jokes to her parents or to Trunchbull meanwhile she has an awful relationship with them. (Ex: putting glue stick in her dad’s hat or using her powers for teasing Trunchbull). Since this is a movie which makes use of unreal things suchas powers the editing is surprising. During the movie we can see that the use of objects is incredible as they move without any species of force, as Matilda has a great use of telekinetic powers she can make things happen just by concentrating or pointing. This aspects gives the magical ingredient to the movie, little kids are amused as soon as they see this because is look very real which make usthink that the editing is very well done. For Matilda to use her powers she has to reach a certain point of concentration which is accomplished by having memories in which they insult her, the way the director show the sweet girl is having flash backs is by closing her eyes and dissolving into scenes which are passed very fast where the adults are shouting at her or punishing her for no reason. The acting techniques are not surprising or out of the normal, Matilda which is the main character and obviously the one who most acts in the movie acts good enough to understand who she is and how she behave, she look sweet and intelligent and we can know she makes use of the powers , although she has a horrible family or a family who simply doesn’t understands her this sweet girl is always happyand with a smile in her face. In my opinion the character who best develops by acting is Trunchbull , she actually produce a scaring feeling when she talks or even move and her appear helps a lot the character , she’s fat , very big , with horrible teeth and doesn’t look “classy” it just looks like a horrible person who is going to kill you , only with one look you can even get pale. Her parentshave good acting techniques, the dad actually looks very angry always and disgusted with everything Matilda does but he doesn’t act to much so we cant see him at all but sincerely the mother does not act as well as the others, she’s supposed to be very different from Matilda and she’s also supposed to treat bad Matilda but as we see the movie we can notice the mom is not that harsh with her, the...
