Human body parts and function
The human body is the entire structure of the body and its main parts are the head, neck, trunk and extremities. Each part has a different function and containsspecific organs. As we walk, talk, sleep, play or we sit; our body is constantly working to keep us fully healthy. It is important to know in order to take care of our body and prolong a healthy life.
HeadThe head is the upper extremity of the body, connected to the trunk by the neck. Is oval and hosts the brain. On the front face called the head contains four sense organs: nose, eyes, ears and mouth.All transmit sensory messages to the brain sends nose smells, eyes, images, ears, and mouth sounds, tastes. The skin over the entire body is the fifth sense organ and transmits tactile sensations tothe brain. Thanks to the skin are capable of feeling. The nose is also part of the respiratory system that allows air to enter the body.
Brain
The brain is the most important organ of the humanbody. Gelatinous consistency is located inside the head. It is protected by a fluid and skull (the bony part of the head). Because our brains are able to survive (through automatic processes such asbreathing), think, love, create and remember. The brain is connected to the rest of the body through nerves, taken together, form the nervous system and cause all other organs function. For example, whenwe see that an object is approaching fast towards us, eyes transmit a signal to the brain. After this information is processed, the brain controls our muscles through the nerves so that we avoid thesubject.
Neck
It is the part of the body that connects the head to the trunk. It is also the support of the head and allows it to swing up and down, left to right. Another important function is toprotect the neck nerves that transmit sensory and motor information from the body to the brain.
