Angelo Buono

The pair raped, tortured and murdered on October 16, 1977, that was their first murder. Over the next two months, Bianchi and Buono raped, torturedand killed another nine women ranging in ages from 12 to 28. The press named the unknown "killer" as the "Hillside Strangler," but police were quickto suspect that more than one person was involved. His partner and cousin Bianchi tell that buono was his partner and killed 9 persons.
In 1982,after two lengthy trials, Angelo Buono was found guilty of nine of the ten Hillside murders and received a life sentence. In September 2002, Buono diedof a suspected heart attack while in Calipatria State Prison. He was 67 years old.

Angelo Buono, Jr. (October 5, 1934 – September 21, 2002) wasan American serial killer. Buono and his cousin Kenneth Bianchi together are known as the Hillside Stranglers. Buono was born in Rochester, New Yorkto first generation Italian-American emigrants from San Buono, Italy. In the time leading up to the killings, Buono had already developed a longcriminal history, ranging from failure to pay child support and grand theft auto toassault and rape. A self-described "ladies' man", Buono persuadedBianchi to join him in prostituting two women, holding them as virtual prisoners. In late 1977, the pair began killing other women as well, claiming 10documented victims by the time they were arrested in early 1979. Buono was also said to have made women refer to him as "The Italian Stallion".
