Animal Vs Human

INTRODUCTION


On this project I’m going to analyse the differences and similarities between animal and human communication. Also I’m going to show some examples of different kinds of animal communication in different species of animals and how they do it and for what objective.



THEORETICAL UNDERPINNINGS

Applied to the animal world, the notion of language courseonly for abuse of terms. We know it has been impossible so far to establish that animals have been well out in rudimentary form, a mode of expression that has the character and functions of human language. All serious observations performed on animal communities, all attempts using various techniques to cause or control any form of language comparable to that of the men have failed. It seems thatanimals emit manifest varied voices, on the occasion of such utterances, behaviors we could infer that messages are transmitted "spoken". The fundamental conditions of actual linguistic communication seem to be lacking in animals, and are superior.

Animal language is the modeling of human language in non human animal systems. It consists in the emission of chemical and physical signals fromone individual to another who change the probability that the behavior is about an organism. These may be signs common to the species or the same sex, but also the social group and even family. In addition, each individual usually has its own recognition signal which is different from others.

Buhler and Jakobson said that to alow the communication you need receiver, transmitter, signal,and a state of things. The transmitter generates the message to send, it becomes a signal so you can travel to your destination through a medium, in which space is the receiver that picks up the signal and transforms it to retrieve the message. For the humans beings not always the signal o the message is enough good to be received, and sometimes you have to repeat it. In the animal world isnecessary to repeat several time the same signal to have a correct perception.

The signal with which communication is established, are the final expression of behaviour integrated into a system of behaviour that is part of a harmonious whole that constitutes the living being. These patterns have been specializing over the evolution under the requirements of the species forming the vocabulary isthe language animal.

In the comparison made between the language of human and animal, note that the animal is much smaller. Animals are capable of producing a wide variety of messages despite the small number of patterns. However, by combining with each other and varying in frequency, intensity and duration sufficient to achieve their objectives.

The main ways of animalcommunication are: chemistry, physics, visual and tactile. Virtually any species uses one sensory channel as a means of conveying information, but communication is displaying multiple signals simultaneously, since there is none that offers absolute advantages over other in all circumstances.
Animal communication is not only related to the expression of conflicts between peers. There are messages ofappeasement, fraternity or cooperation often modulates social life of animals. The mother and baby exchange signals that relate not only to food and the protection of this, but also their education. It can also happen that an animal is forced to communicate with other species and to cooperate with them for food provided.
