Wi-Fi Antenna Options and Attachments
SkyPilot provides three different types of omnidirectional antennas with its wireless mesh devices depending upon the device model. Thecorrect antenna(s) is matched with the device at time of shipment. However, because the antennas are very similar in physical appearance and easy to confuse, becoming familiar with their physicaldifferences and product association can be helpful to assure correct antenna application across the mesh network. The SkyGateway and SkyExtender series products are available in DualBand and TriBandmodels, which include, in addition to the 5 GHz mesh backhaul, either one (DualBand) or two (TriBand) high-power Wi-Fi access points operating on separate frequencies. The SkyAccess DualBand includes onehigh-power Wi-Fi access point in addition to its 5 GHz backhaul.

SkyAccess DualBand

SkyGateway and SkyExtender series DualBandmodels offer antenna diversity by utilizing both of the exposed N style connectors for one access point (2.4 or 4.9 GHz), while the SkyAccess DualBand exposes a single N connector for one 2.4 GHzantenna. For the SkyGateway and SkyExtender series TriBand models, there is currently only one configuration that utilizes a single exposed N connector for each access point. The 2.4 GHz access point and4.9 GHz access point connect to their own antenna. Available omnidirectional antennas are as follows:
