Anthropogenic Biomes
Thereare a few factors that determine how the biomes are classified, but the most important ones are the population density, the vegetation and the main economic activities in those places. These factorshave divided the earth into 6 main categories; dense settlements, villages, croplands, rangelands, forested and wildlands, each one with more sub-categories. And even though the industrial agricultureand modern transportation these interactions have been modified in the last decades, modifying as well the ecosystem and the population’s behaviors, the classification is still the same. Theseanthropogenic biomes are mainly characterized by their unique and mosaic landscapes, each one with different population density and vegetation, and by that it is suggested that human interactions with theecosystem are normally seen in unique mosaic landscapes, which are caused by the different environments, which includes topography, water bodies, soils, disturbance regimes and the climate, rather thanhuman impacts, even though these conditions normally modify the human behavior, because we tend to look for fertile lands in able to have a major production.
The interaction between the biotic andabiotic factors causes changes on the planet, changes that will modify dramatically the biodiversity, especially when we humans completely alter the equilibrium between the relationships of these two...
