Dirá usted que de dónde tanta confiancita, que de cuál fumó esta cigarrera tan vieja y tan habladora, pero es quele quería pedir algo un poco especial, cómo le diré, un favor extraño, y como no me gustan los malentendidos prefiero empezar desde el principio ¿no?, ponerlo en antecedentes. Usted tiene cara de buena persona, por eso me animé a molestarlo, no crea que a cualquiera le cuento mi vida, sólo a gentes con educación, con experiencia, que se vea que entienden las cosas del sentimiento.

Le decía puesque recién llegada de Pinotepa trabajé aquí en El Sarape, de esto hará veintitantos años, cuando el cabaret era otra cosa.
