LA CROMATOGRAFÍA LÍQUIDA: APLICACIÓN DE LA TLC A LA SEPARACIÓN

Resumen

Se describen las principales modalidades
de
cromatografía
líquida,
siguiendo
tres
clasificaciones distintas: según la fase estacionaria,
según los fenómenos que intervienen en la
separación y segúnel método de operativo. Se
estudia con más detalle la cromatografía en capa
fina (TLC) por tratarse de una técnica muy simple,
tanto desde el punto de vista de procedimiento
experimental como del equipo y material requerido.
Se aplica la cromatografía en capa fina
(TLC) a la separación de los diversos colorantes
contenidos en 6 tintes comerciales con eluyentes
específicos de los diversosgrupos tintóreos. Los
resultados obtenidos indican que la mayoría de los
tintes estudiados están compuestos por mezclas de
3-5 colorantes, principalmente de tipo disperso.
Esta técnica cromatográfica es una
herramienta útil desde el punto de vista cualitativo.
También permite, en algunos casos concretos,
seleccionar el eluyente más adecuado para un
posterior análisis cuantitativo porcromatografía
líquida de alta resolución (HPLC).

LIQUID
CHROMATOGRAPHY. APPLICATION OF
TLC TO THE SEPARATION OF
DYES

The main types of liquid chromatography
are
described,
following
three
differentclassifications: according to the stationary phase,
according to the phenomena which occur in the
separation and according to the operative method.
The thin layer chromatography (TLC) is studied in
more detail since it is a very simple technique from
the point of view of experimental procedure as also
from the equipment and material required.
The thin layer chromatography (TLC) is
applied to theseparation of the diverse dyes

contained in 6 commercial tints and to the
identification of the dyeing group of the dyes. The
results obtained indicate that most of the studied
tints are constituted by 3-5 dyes, mainly of disperse
type.
This chromatographic technique is a useful
tool from the qualitative point of view. In some
cases, it also allows to select the most appropriate
eluent fora later quantitative analysis using high
resolution liquid chromatography (HPLC).

Résumé: LA CHROMATOGRAPHIE
LIQUIDE. APPLICATION DE TLC À
LA SÉPARATION DE COLORANTS

Les
principales
modalités
de
chromatographie en phase liquide sont décrites, en
suivant troisclassifications différentes: d'après la
phase stationnaire, d'après les phénomènes qui
interviennent dans la séparation et d'après la
méthode d'opération. La chromatographie sur
couche mince (TLC) est étudiée avec plus de détail,
car il s’agit d’une technique très simple, tant du
point de vue de procédure expérimentale comme
de l'outillage employé.
La chromatographie sur couche mince
(TLC)est appliquée à la séparation de divers
colorants contenus dans 6 teintes commerciales et
à l'identification du groupe de teinture de ces
colorants. Les résultats obtenus indiquent que la
plupart des teintes étudiées sont composées par 35 colorants, principalement de type dispersé.
Cette technique chromatographique est très
utile du point de vue qualitatif. Aussi, dans quelques
casconcrets, elle permet de sélectionner l'éluent le
plus approprié pour une analyse quantitative
postérieure par chromatographie liquide à haute
résolution (HPLC).
