La obra parece tener tres partes, están diferenciadas ya que son sus tres discursos y están relacionados por que son parte del juicio que se hace en contra de Sócrates. La“Apología de Sócrates” esta escrita por uno de sus discípulos, llamado Platón, la obra esta situada en el año 400 A.c.. La obra narra los tres discursos de la defensa de Sócrates en tres sesiones diferentes para defenderse ante el tribunal y sus acusadores. La acusación que había sobre Sócrates era falsa y la principal acusación hacia él, es que cuestionaba a los dioses del estado y corrompía a la juventud.BIOGRAFIAS
SOCRATES
Filósofo griego (Atenas, 470 a.C.-., 399 a.C). Fue hijo de una comadrona, Faenarete, y de un escultor, Sofronisco, emparentado con Arístides el Justo. Pocas cosas se conocen con certeza de la biografía de Sócrates, aparte de que participó como soldado de infantería en las batallas de Samos (440), Potidea (432), Delio (424) y Anfípolis (422).
