b) Migrant Smuggling
Smuggling of Migrants is a crime involving the procurement for financial or other material benefitof illegal entry of a person into a State of which that person is not a national or resident. Migrant smuggling affects almost every country in the world. It undermines the integrity of countries andcommunities, and costs thousands of people their lives every year. UNODC, as the guardian the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) and the Protocols thereto,assists States in their efforts to implement the Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air (Migrants Protocol).
Declaring that effective action to prevent and combat the smuggling ofmigrants by land, sea and air requires a comprehensive international approach, including cooperation, the exchange of information and other appropriate measures, including socio-economic measures, atthe national,regional and international levels.
Recalling General Assembly resolution 54/212 members states and UN to strengthen international cooperation in the area of international migration anddevelopment in order to address the root causes of migration. My delegation has been envolved in the migrant smuggling rescue migrants held for ransom and abused by human traffickers in the Sinaidesert.
My delegation will not be involved in migrant smuggling while some delegations have it as tradition will not be willing to abuse people or who they think will have better opportunities to bemigrants would have conflicts in the nation, delegation etc. My delegation is in disagreement with the lower surface migration of smuggling because only improve their lives away from their delegations orless likely to have improvement because the UN does not accept migrants migration smuggling if your delegation is accepted will have their reasons maybe help more people But my delegation is against...
