Arizona law
The Arizona law is a legislative act in the U.S. state of Arizona that is the broadest and strictest anti-illegal immigration measure in decades. It has received national and international attention and has spurred considerable controversy. For me this law is a racist law, because if the police see you andyou look like Mexican he will make up anything to stop you and ask for your papers.
This law has its advantage and disadvantages. One of its advantages for theUS citizen is that they will have more works. With all the immigrants that quit their jobs or were fired, there will be less unemployed people. Another one isthat drug trafic will reduce. Most of the Traficant of illegal drugs are immigrant, and if they cant be there, drugs will reduce. And for last, it will help theUS control how many people are in the country, and to know who those people are.
Now we’ll see the disadvantages. First of all, the racial profiling. Nomatter that the law prohibits that. If the police are supposed to check on people who look like they are not legal, they will check people that are not white. Anotherdisadvantage is that is going to be expensive for the government. They will have to build more detention centers for all the immigrants that are in Arizona. Anfor last, all the immigrant might act against the government. They will be angry and disappointed; they could do a lot of things.
That’s why I am againstthis law, because even though they can’t stop you just because of your color, they will be based on that to do it. That’s why I think it’s better without this law.
