hauek direla medio, markek espazio publikoaren okupazio “sortzailea” burutu
dute. Fenomeno honen gorakada bere antitesiarekin batera gertatzen ari da,
publizitatearen eraispenarekin batera alegia. Batzuen iritziz “kaleaspegarrien”
“apainketa sortzailea” dena, hiriaren ingurunearen jabetze onartezina da beste
batzuen ustetan.
Hiriak pairatzen duen publizitate-kutsadurak galdera bi sortzen dizkigu:
lehena, zein eragin kaltegarri du asetasun eta gainesposizio honek paisaiaren eta
biztanlegoaren osasunean? Bigarrena, zein da mundu pribatuaren zilegitasuna eta
bidezkotasuna ondasun publikoaz baliatzeko? Horrela hasi da,bada,
publizitatearen ekologiaren inguruko eta hiriko publizitatearen jasanezintasunari
buruzko eztabaida.

Abstract
The cities have become a big advertising medium. Apart from the outdoor,
nowadays there is no self-respectingadvertising agency which do not include, as a
service for its clients, actions related to street marketing or ambient. These actions
imply actually the occupation of the whole public area and its consideration as an
advertising medium to be used. Every place is likely to be creatively conceived as
an advertising medium, beyond the conventional outdoor tools. The advertising
occupation coexistswith its antithesis: the dismantling. The excess and the
sobriety are the two faces of the same coin. What for some people represent an
exercise of “creative decoration” of the boring streets, for others it is actually an
intolerable appropriation of the common spaces. The advertising exploitation under
which the cities are suffering leads us to wonder two questions. The first one,
which arethe harmful effects for the urban landscape’s health of this saturation
and over-exploitation? The second one, what legitimacy do the private companies
have to enable them to take over the streets and to use in its profit these public
assets? Hence, the debate is now served, about the advertising’s ecology, namely,
its pollutant effects and its unsustainability in the urban areas.
