I am writing this letter to let you know my view of the situation. First of all my name is Fran Yeison Acosta and I am a student in United World College Red Cross Nordic. The College focuses onpromoting humanitarian values​​, academic training and was oppened in 1995. I have been here in Norway, for four months at this school. I am an open minded person, I'm very interested in the issue of therights of LGBTI people and I am worried about the situation that you are experiencing right now in Africa and in many other continents.

I think these situations are in every country in the world.There is a lot of discrimination against homosexuals, and in many cases these people are battered and abused, as in the case of Noxolo Nogwaza who was raped and killed. If this had not been resolvedpublic places, such as hospitals, would not be served by the government and therefore treated very badly. I wish that this situation will improve and get better, to help all these people in order to havea world without violence and maintain security. As humans, we must learn to accpet other people as they are living together in order to get a better life.

I would like to ask you and theauthorities to pay more attention to the case of Noxolo Nogwaza because this crime can not go unpunished. She has the same rights as all other people and it is very important to clarify and justicify the deathof this young individual. I would like to ask the police, hospitals and other public facilities to give posittion their attention to all those people who are homosexuales, because they are huma, likeeveryone else. A crime like this should be punished, these people deserve respect and should be treated in and a good way. Discrimination has to change! It would be good if conferences and fórumswould appear more often, where -people with different sexualities would be presented - to get an understanding from different views.
