WIPRO'S NEW DEMAND MANAGEMENT SOLUTION FOR PACKAGED GOODS INDUSTRY

Wipro Technologies' two new SCM solution, Sub-Daily Planning and Scheduling (iSDPS) and Third Party Ordering (iTPO) would help consumer goods packaged torespond to customers demands faster. Wipro's both the solution are SAP-endorsed business solutions and are complimentary to SAP's offering. The solution was developed in accordance with the SAP developmentguidelines providing additional choices and flexibility for businesses running SAP applications. To become SAP-endorsed business solutions, Wipro's iSDPS and iTPO successfully passed a testing processconducted by SAP. As part of the agreement between Wipro and SAP, both companies will share technology and product roadmaps.

Due to the perishable nature of fresh food products, consumer productscompanies are faced with the issue of short-lead times that require daily responses to adjust to fluctuating customer demand. The iSDPS solution helps in sub- daily production scheduling, allowingconsumer products companies to effectively process last-minute customer orders, prioritize orders, manage raw materials and enhance operating efficiency. The solution facilitates reduction in inventoryof raw materials by 10-15%. The solution also helps reduce production planning cycle times by more than 60%, optimizing production resources and labor utilization.
