What is and what the ISO certification?
According to the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards (Icontec) certification is the process by which a third party other than the producer and thebuyer says, in writing, that a product, a service or process meets specified requirements. For this reason, it is a valuable tool in national and international commercial transactions. It is anirreplaceable to build confidence in the customer-supplier relationships element. Among the many beneficiaries of the certifications governments, industries and consumers are. For governments,certification ensures that goods and services meet mandatory requirements relating to health, safety, environment, etc. And serves as a control in foreign trade between countries.
Also it is a tool forevaluating suppliers in contractual processes and to verify that the foreclosed property in a bidding process meets the requirements of the specifications.
For the industrial sector, certification enablesyou to demonstrate compliance with the requirements or contractual agreements that are part of legal obligations, while consumer certification allows you to identify products or services that meet therequirements, or reliable suppliers
