Introduction
Rain is very important for life. All living things need water to live, even people. Rainbrings us the water we need. But in many places in the world even where you live, rain has become a menace. Because of pollution in the air, acid gases from factories, cars and homes, the rain is becoming dangerous for the life of every living creature. That rain is named “Acid Rain”.

We have decided that we want to make an experiment of Acid Rain. Now a days this is not a big problem and notvery common, but if we continue putting the trash in the streets or in places where it should not be, this will be a greater problem in the future.

Stament of Pourpose
Acid rain is a very serious pollution problem. We decided to make this experiment because we want to make people conscious about the problem that would occur. We go to the idea of buildings because is the things that would makea lot of damage if they fell down, then the people would be more conscious but why do we wait until it happen? Why do we wait until the disaster begins? If we can make people conscious now.
Acid rain is an air pollution problem. That means that it can be carried over long distances. When acid gases are released, they go high up in the sky, and then they are pushed by strong winds towards othercountries and all around the world.
Our experiment consists in 2 different materials that are use in the buildings. The first one are nails with acid muriatic to see how the windows and everything that is attached with nails can get affected. And we use the shells with some vinegar, to simulate the rocks and some constructing materials.

What is Acid Rain?
Acid rain is aserious environmental problem that affects large parts of the world, it´s the deposition of wet and dry acid components.

What causes Acid Rain?

Acid rain happens when there is too much sulfur and nitric acids in the air, from by emissions of cars and manufacturing facilities. The clouds get laden down with the polluted vapor, and then it comes to the earth as acid rain
Some precursors, orchemical forerunners, of acid rain formation result from natural sources, such as volcanoes and decaying vegetation, and man-made sources, primarily emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides resulting from fossil fuel combustion. 



Effects of Acid Rain
Acid rain causes acidification of lakes and streams and contributes to the damage of trees at high elevations and many sensitiveforest soils. In addition, acid rain accelerates the decay of building materials and paints, including irreplaceable buildings, statues, and sculptures that are part of our nation's cultural heritage. It also affects our health; it can give us cancer or brain damage.
