Ashley Leggat

Ashley Leggat was born on September 26th, 1986. She is a Canadian actress who is best known for her roles as Casey MacDonald in the series “Life with Derek“, Brittany MacMillan in the Discovery Kidsseries Darcy’s Wild Life and as Kelly in the CBC series 11 Cameras. She also played Marcia in “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” starring Lindsay Lohan.
A student of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz,lyrical, acro, musical theatre and hip hop, she has been honoured with awards and accolades at several prestigious North American competitions. In 2004, she garnered the senior title of Miss Dance atthe Dance, Dance, Dance competition; top senior dancer at Flash Dance, and Senior Title and Dancer of the Year at 5-6-7-8 Showtime, as well as being named the top senior dancer at the CanDance competition.
When she was just five years old, the Hamilton, Ontario native began her theatrical training with Theatre Aquarius’ Performing Arts Program under the direction of Lou Zamprogna. That same year,Ashley made her professional theatre debut playing “Marta” in Theatre Aquarius’ production of The Sound of Music. She went on to perform in several of the company’s productions including The Lion, TheWitch And The Wardrobe, Cinderella, Anne of Green Gables, Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang, Jekyll And Hyde and The Wizard of Oz. She also performed the role of “Clara” in The Nutcracker atHamilton Place.

Ashley also has amassed an impressive list of credits on the big and small screens. She appeared in the Disney feature Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen, starring Lindsay Lohan,the television movie A Very Married Christmas, with Joe Mantegna and Jean Smart and played series lead “Kat Adams” in Ace Lightning.
