Professor, before I start my essay I want to tell you that, as a non English speaker, this reading has been one of the most complex I ever had. I hope that I understood most of it.

1. Thestory of the tightrope is, in my opinion, one of the philosophies or ideal followed by most of the Western Society. In the prologue, Nietzsche expose with metaphors, how the human been has control overhis own life. In phrases as “ the time has come for man to set himself a goal” or “ one day this soil will be poor as domesticated”, we can see how Zarathustra prophecies the evolution and control ofthe man over his own destiny.
The tightrope is a metaphorical personage that describes the human been in a transitory state between a point A and B. It is described as a piece in the evolutionchain, located between the beast and the overman. Even though he affirms “The death of God”, he agrees with most of religions that man’s performance in earth is a transitory step. It is not thebeginning nor the end.
Zarathustra is a prophet, this is a point where Nietzsche agrees with Jewish, Muslim and Christian societies. As well as Moses and Mohamed, Zarathustra came from the mountainwith a message to the average person.
Some how Nietzsche follows the regular ways of the traditional religions, but he challenges the regular thought that looks God as almighty, and gives the manbig responsibility for his own destiny.

2. The “Three Metamorphoses” describes the three stages that the spirit passes. To reach the final stage it has to go through the camel, the lion and thechild.
In the first stage the spirit “kneels down like a camel wanting to be well loaded”. It describes the first part of the life when a human been is eager for knowledge, trying to catcheverything, most of the time for instinct, to be ready and prepared to face the future.
The next stage is the lion. In this step the spirit “would conquer his freedom and be master on his own...
