Peru is located in the western southern part of America. It is boarded by 5 countries and the pacific ocean. Peru is home of ancient cultures, the North Chico civilization that is one of theoldest civilizations in the world, to the Incas that is one of the largest states in the Pre Columbian America. With there independence of spain in 1821 the country has gone through rough criseseconomically and politically and uprising economy and political stability. The country of Peru is runed by a democratic government, which is divided into 25 regions. The government is composed of a multiparty system. The current president is head of state and government. The government is chosen by elections and its charge lasts for 5 years after another full term has passed he can be reelected. Thecurrent president in Peru is Ollanta Humala. The goverment are in currently dispute with Chile for there maritime limits of the Pacific Ocean. Peru is an active member and participant of theOrganization of American States and the United Nations. The military of the country has the important mission of protecting the countries independence sovereignty and territorial integrity, it is composed of anavy and an air force. Peru has a upper middle income economy. It is ranked to be the 39th largest economy in the world. Its high human development index makes Peru one of the world’s fastest growingeconomies. As being a large country Peru is consider to be a multiethnic country formed by different groups over the past five centuries. It is mostly in habited by mainly mestizos and American Indianthat is a mixture of several multi ethnic groups with Indian cultures. The main language in Peru is Spanish but there exists several dialects among the American Indian groups, making Peru a multilanguage country. A current news in Peru is the death of American climbers killed the high and dangerous mountains caused the death of climbers with a fall over 1000 ft.
