CALL FOR APPLICATIONS "International Directors’ Seminar for Children’s and Young People’s Theatre" Frankfurt /Germany, 1- 6 July, 2013 Dear colleagues, we have the pleasure to inform you about the upcoming International Directors' Seminar for Children’s and Young People’s Theatre 2013. The International Directors'Seminar will take place in Frankfurt in co-operation with TheaterGrueneSosse (www.theatergruenesosse.de). TheaterGrueneSosse is an independent theatre which is well known for its work for and withyoung audiences and its involvement in innovative projects. We are glad to have the chance to work with directors from other countries and Germany for a whole week and we are looking forward to yourapplications. Each of the International Directors’ Seminars that has taken place to date has focused on a special topic: 1993 "The Rights of Children", 1995 "Death and Farewell", 1997 "Theatrical Signs inTheatre for Small Children", 1999 "Fairy Tales", 2001 "Fear and Hope - Staging the Reality of Today's Children", 2003 "The Antagonist on Stage in Contemporary Children's Theatre", 2005 "Family onStage", 2007 “Heroes and Idols”, 2009 “Stories of Migration” 2011 “Money makes the world go round” In 2013 the International Directors' Seminar will once again work on a specific topic of interest totheatre directors from all over the world. Designed for about 25 participants, this seminar will investigate the theme “Heimat” (Home) “Heimat” is our “Homezone”. “Home is where the heart is” and home iswhere we are the children of our parents.
