I’d like to discuss the similarities and differences, relative to child education beginning fromthe 1960’s to now. I’d like to include the following topics: education, health, way of life, and generalities (such as, those written above in the chart).
Education in the 60’s was far more strict.There where incentives to achieve, (rewards for winning for example), where it seems to me, everyone wins whether they fail or not. This could be because of laws or we are more aware of emotionalstability. Currently, technologies (television, computer, celphones, media devices, social networks, etc) changes the way things are interpreted and learned. Information (reliable or false), is far moreavailable and accessible with a few clicks of the mouse. Technology being as it was in the past, I think children really explored for answers from books or teachers. Apparently, teachers form the 1960’smaintained a respectability that has waned through the decades until now. Nowadays children may have a different relationship with the teachers, such as for example, they are having an exam, but ifone student couldn’t not study, he/she have the possibility, usually, for talking with his/her teacher and explaining the reason why, and may be the teacher will considerate it, while years ago, this...
