Autism
“Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, stereotyped interests and behaviors, and impaired communication… it affects to 0.1-0.2 of the kids”(Sharpe, Neil F. & Carter, Ronald F. (2006) p. 230). Autism comes from the Greek word “eaftismos” that means “self-enclosed”. Its causes still remain unknown, but some scientists think that itis caused by some problems with the environment; others think that it is caused by a fault in the Central Nervous System. * They repeatwhat they hear.
* They are prone to put objects on line.
* They do not obey instructions.
* They reject the physical contact.
* They could be hyperactive.
* They could beaggressive.
* They may have mental retardation.

(2006) p. 230), in both diseases, kids apparently have a period of normal development but then they loseskills and suffer retardation. It has not discovered a cure yet for this disease.
So to make sure it is autism, it is recommended to take the kid to a professional psychologist for an accurate diagnosis.
