Ecuador no tiene poder de reacción aérea
La Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana (FAE) reveló una realidad poco conocida en el país: la institución no tiene un poder aéreo de reacción inmediata. Juan Francisco Vivero, comandante del Ala de Combate número 21 “Taura”, afirmo que la FAE está en emergencia operativa porque la vida útil de los aviones ha concluido.
Vivero explicóque de los 26 aviones Supersónicos que posee la fuerza, 13 Kfir y 12 Mirage F-1, solo uno está en condiciones de cumplir una misión.
“Hemos caído en una crisis operativa producto de la obsolescencia del material; la vida útil de las aeronaves ha llegado a los 30 años, lo que hace que estemos en una emergencia operativa”, precisó.
