GENERAL INFORMATION A Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Home Economics/Design and Technology prepares teachers to addressmajor emphases of NSW secondary school syllabuses in the Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) Key Learning Area (KLA) and Community and Family Studies in the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) KLA. WHERE IT COULD TAKE YOU This course enables graduate teachers to be employed by state and private secondary schools across Australia and New Zealand. Our graduates have also beenemployed within the community health education sector, food product development, quality control and as trainers within the food industry. Direct Entry: • ATAR of 63.00+ (or equivalent eg.OP of 17 or less). • HSC Chemistry (or equivalent) OR February Chemistry Bridging Course (before semester 3 commences) is recommended. Alternative Entry: Students with an ATAR below 63.00 (orequivalent) may still be able to gain entry into this degree on a conditional basis. Previous work experience and educational qualifications will also be considered for each student upon application.
