After a two-yearhiatus, they regrouped and released a comeback album Never Gone (2005). Richardson left the group after the conclusion of Never Gone Tour in 2006 to pursue otherinterests.[3] The group then released two albums as a quartet: Unbreakable (2007) and This Is Us (2009).
In April 2012, the group announced that Richardson hadrejoined them permanently,[4] and by July, they had started working on their next studio album.[5] The group also made their very first performance as a reunitedfive-piece in August, as part of Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series.[6]
The Backstreet Boys have sold over 130 million records worldwide,[7] makingthem the best-selling boy band of all time,[8] and one of the world's best-selling music artists. According to Billboard, they are the first group since Sade tohave their first seven albums reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200.[9] They are also set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.[10][11][12]
