Basketball

The basketball is a sport played between two teams of five players, during quarters for 4 periods of 10 minutes (FIBA), or 4 of 12 minutes (NBA) each other. The players must play with their hands,they mustn’t play with feed. At the end of the second quarter, it takes a rest, usually between 10 or 20 minutes depending on the tournament's own rules. The objective is to introduce the ball to theopposite basket, however, the basket is in a hoop placed three meters hanging from a pay, and off course to win the mach.
You can’t do any step before bouncing, but you can do a step if you“pibotejes”.
In the attack, the team has to try to reach to the triple-zone, and by systems created by the coach; the team should try to do basket. Defenders must try to steal the ball, intercept it, bung it, butif attacker throw it, then defenders have to block the rebound, take it and they will run in the counterattack.
About the history, basketball was invented by James Naismith, a Canadian physicaleducation teacher in December 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, where was the first basketball match.
There is also a modality, for the disabled, which is played in a wheelchair (wheelchairbasketball), with the same rules as regular basketball.
There are three different positions in basketball:
-The guard is usually the fastest and the shortest player on the team, he organizes the team'soffense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time.
-The shooting guard creates a high volume of shots on offense, also he helps the guard; but he defensevery well.
-The small forward is like the shooting guard, but he usually do a lot of point, he do dribble penetration and seeks rebounds.
-The power forward usually plays in out-area to makepenetration and do shoots for three. Also he is faster than the center.
