ABOUT THE GBO

The Global Business Opportunities (GBO) is an unprecedented educational and cultural program aiming to create a working group among youth from two (or more) distant and differentcultures, to identify business opportunities and develop entrepreneurship skills.
The program is an interesting experience for the young participants, as they will interact with the top business andacademic leaders from the participating countries. They visit large corporations, establish contact networks and interact with people with similar experiences and interests in the business world.
Thisprogram is a practical and comprehensive course on how to successfully start and operate a business. Successful business ownership requires not only choosing the right type of business but anunderstanding of legal requirements, strategy, accounting, people, management, financials, operations and marketing. A business plan pulls all these components together.
Most people fail in business becausethey make avoidable mistakes; this course teaches what those mistakes are and how to avoid them.
During the program, the youth receive world class training on business plan development. They aredivided into groups, and have to put their training into practice through developing their own project by exploring opportunities between the participating countries. After a period of market research,analysis and several activities, the groups present their projects to be evaluated by a panel of distinguished business leaders.

After completing the Program, the youth are able to:

1. Developa successful business and marketing plan and put it into action.
2. Understand the concept of business model - Finance the venture by acquiring start-up capital.
3.  Develop the strategy andthe organizational structure of their business.
4. Learn how to work in team groups and how to conduct a market research.
