Honorable Members of the chair, The Republic of Mali wouldlike to thank you for this invitation and greet all the delegates in this debate, in which an important issue is going to be discussed.
The Historical Security Council is in astressful time. Due to terrorist tactics, which threaten formal law-abiding nations. Mali is a third world country that has been constantly attacked by terrorist organizations. Consequently,we want this world wide problem to be resolved and believe it can only be solved by the international efforts.
The Republic of Mali has been invaded by the terrorist group Al Qaeda.This terrorist organization has been occupying Northern Mali as a safe haven and platform from which to conduct operations.
Consequently and due to these situations Mali proposesthe following resolutions to this problem which is affecting the world:
* Only official governments are recognized and will be acknowledged. No negotiations will be undertaken withterrorists groups.
* Stop massive terrorist attacks by the control of airports, borders, subways, ports, train stations etc. With help from national and internationalorganizations.
* Labor opportunities and humanitarian aid to vulnerable nations to prevent people from collaborating with terrorist groups in Exchange for basic needs.
* The securitywill deploy vigilance groups to keep watch in vulnerable areas. Countries caught housing terrorist groups will be sanctioned by the Security Council.
Mali will cooperate arduously inorder to solve this international problem. Our priority is to ensure worldwide security and specifically to vulnerable areas in order to maintain international peace.
