Benedict Xvi

Benedict (born Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger on 16 April 1927) is the 265th and current Pope of the Catholic Church. Benedict as Pope is regarded as the successor of Saint Peter. Benedict XVI waselected on 19 April 2005 in a papal conclave, celebrated his Papal Inauguration Mass on 24 April 2005, and took possession of his cathedral, the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, on 7 May 2005. A native ofBavaria, Pope Benedict XVI has both German and Vatican citizenship.
He has been criticized for being part of the Nazi army, without knowing that Hitler made every kid beyond 10 years to be at thenazis. Joseph never went to pick up his file, and denied to use the nazi uniform. At 16 he was called to this, against his own decision, and he was destined to the protection of the Factory of BMW, hewas there from 1943 to 1944. He always said to everyone that he wanted to be a father.
In 1944 he started his basic training in Hungary, in a nazi strategy program, where he and his partners didsystems to closet the ways to war tanks. He deserted the last days of war, but became a prisioner of allied soldiers in 1945.
He has a long career as an academic, he studied Catholic teology andphilosophy, in diferent perspectives.
He also wrote books such as “Introduction to christianism” in which he defends the idea of the absolut spirit revealed as relation. He also made a paper about“Teology of the history in San buenaventura”
The 29 of June of 1951 he recieved the sacrament of the sacerdotal order in the catedral of Freising. The 24 of march of 1977 he was named arzobisp of Munichand Freising, and the 27 of June he was named cardenal of S. Maria Cosolatrice al Tiburtin.
His idea of faith in the church has been based in the liberation of the Evangelio and the tradition ofchristianism, which can be significative for today’s man.
