BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
Who was Benjamin Franklin? He putted a lot of effort in the growth of the US, consciously or unconsciously, putting librarys and writing his own creations and thoughts. He was thefather of Electricity. He was one of the founding fathers of the United States. But was he really interested in this growth or was he merely interested in his own income?
Benjamin Franklin was bornin Boston on January 17, 1706. He comes from a numerous family and didn’t have a lot of money as a kid, so when he turned 15 years old, he have to quit school to help his parents with the taxes andto buy food. He began working as an apprentice on a new newspaper “The New England Courant” (http://www.ushistory.org/franklin/info/index.htm). He was just there to do the basic stuff, but not to writesomething for the newspaper, so what he did was that he writes the letters and comments for the newspaper under an alias, Silence Dogood and send them that way. Clever, like he was, he receives a lotof great reviews and later on he revealed himself.
Later on Benjamin Franklin run away from Boston in 1723. He took “a boat to New York where he hoped to find work as a printer. He didn't, andwalked across New Jersey, finally arriving in Philadelphia via a boat ride” (http://www.ushistory.org/franklin/info/index.htm). There he, with a lot of effort, get a job as a printer but first he haved togo to London to get some stuff for the printing business, because the governor support him, supposedly because he didn’t fullfield his promise of putting a printer for Franklin. He worked a while inLondon, while outside New England he reject the option of marrying his ‘sweetheart’ Debora Read for later on life, then he come back and put his own printer in Philadelphia.
