RESUMEN
El propósito de este trabajo de investigación fue eldesarrollo de un sistema de gestión automatizado para el control de los procesos internos de la biblioteca “Dr. Ramiro Antonio Finol Ortega” de la Facultad Experimental de Ciencias de la Universidad del Zulia. Con el objetivo principal de mejorar el desempeño, facilitar las actividades de gestión de la información y disminuir el tiempo invertido en el control de los procesos internos, de esta manera, labiblioteca estaría cumpliendo eficientemente uno de sus objetivos fundamentales: ofrecerle al estudiantado un servicio integral que incremente e incentive su interés por utilizar este centro educativo, que cuenta con suficientes herramientas tecnológicas para cubrir y satisfacer las necesidades de sus usuarios. Se utilizará un ciclo de vida para el desarrollo de sistemas, planteado por el autorKendall y Kendall en 1997.

ABSTRACT
The intention of this work of investigation was the development of a system of management automated for the control of the internal processes of the library "Dr. Ramiro Antonio Finol Ortega" of the ExperimentalFaculty of Sciences of the University of the Zulia. With the principal aim to improve the performance, to facilitate the activities of management of the information and to diminish the time inverted in the control of the internal processes, hereby, the library it would be fulfilling efficiently one of his fundamental lenses: to offer them to the student body an integral service that increases andstimulates their interest to use this educational center, which possesses sufficient technological tools to cover and to satisfy the needs of their users. I will use a cycle of life for the system development raised by the author Kendall and Kendall in 1997.

RESUMEN
