Technology in Sustainable Design
Nancy Clark Brown who is thesenior manager of Autodesk Education in the Americas talked yesterday at ITESM about the Autodesk Inc. She started to talk about the current use oftechnology and how it can be useful when we think about sustainable issues, architectural issues and many other fields. Autodesk can be used to solve multipleproblems because when we use technology we can create objects by using digital modeling before they can become real and by this we can save money andtake all the advantages that come with this as to be more creative.
Autodesk is focused nowadays on sustainability and clean technology because usersneed to take decisions on how to solve current problems. For example she spoke about Alex hurricane and how we can use their programs to collectinformation and run a simulation if a flood ever happens again and see how it will affect in the future.
Nancy Clark Brown explained the different kind ofprograms they have that are around 80 but the most popular are Autocad, Revit and 3dMax. I can say I am familiarized with those programs so I could reallyunderstand how it is that all this digital modeling are really important for our generation because as she said there are a lot of benefits if we usethis programs. She explained how costs during the design are reduced, and how a higher and faster performance is achieved when using autodesk products.
