Overview
This document covers key actions for GM FlexNet Application desktop users that must be performedprior to and after the site FlexNet 3.1.0 Release installation. The local GM IT Manager and HP site support will communicate the timeframe for the upgrade to site personnel.
This documentdetails:
• Required profile preservation and restoration step for users with customized profiles for containment cockpit screens or view.
• Required actions for all desktop users prior totheir first login to the GM FlexNet application after the upgrade is performed.
• A review of key enhancements to the Quality Gate Screen to reduce any confusion for users after the upgrade isinstalled.

Preserving Containment Cockpit User Preference Settings
The GM FlexNet 3.1.0 Release includes changes to the core Apriso FlexNet9.4 COTS software environment that will remove existing customized user profiles for the Containment Cockpit and View screens. If you wish to preserve your existing profile settings and recreate themafter the upgrade, please follow the documented process below. If you do not use customized profiles in the Containment Cockpit or Containment Views, you have no required action prior to your site’srelease weekend.
