But first, what is bipartidism? In synthesis the concept ofbipartidism is a two-party system in which the two leadings parties of a country alternate its term in office to serve the interests of the ruling class, therefore each one of these two belongs todifferent ideologies. (ASANOV)
The bipartidism is a phenomenon that has presented throughout history in countries all over the world, for example: the two-party system is actually found in USA with theRepublican and Democratic parties or Great Britain that has the Conservative party, and at first it had the Liberal party, but its place was taken by the Labor party in the 20’s. Spain also belongs tothe list of the countries with the two-party system, since 1982 the two parties have disputed the government of the country, they are: The PP (The People’s party) and PSOE (Spanish Socialist Worker’sParty). Colombia also had its two-party system time; it began in 1810 with the Foolish Fatherland, the period between 1810 and 1816 was marked by the conflict between thecentralist, who wanted to establish the power from Santa Fe de Bogota to the rest of the country, and the federalist, who wanted to make every province autonomy without any dependency of the capital. This willtriggered an internal war and a no complete independence of the Spanish people.
