Blue Economy

A long time ago we saw a lot of proposals about the best way of living and thinking, which involve many theories like the financial economy (that involves topics like debt, creditorsand its main purpose is to achieve the growth of the countries which is measured by rates like GDP and GDP per capita) but it didn’t care about the environment. Countries were growing, polluting andproducing greenhouse gas emissions, but it wasn’t the best way to grow. Then, a new trend started: “green economy”. It was born from the necessity to solve the problems caused by the growing of thecountries. This new way of thinking proposed to reduce the pollution, create new energy sources and stop the use of non-renewable resources like petroleum and gas.
This new trend sounds great, butthese people didn’t analyze very well the idea because it’s really expensive for countries to invest and start working with these ideas. It’s also difficult for countries start to build nuclear plants(high risk levels for people) and start to use the energy of the wind. For example, I read that for Mexico would have to spend 60 000 millions of dollars (which is the 6% of its GDP) in order to reduceits greenhouse gas emissions. In conclusion green economy is not a great idea because it is not available for every country.
What’s next? Gunter Pauli who is a well-known businessman started toanalyze this panorama, and he made for himself many questions. Then he realized that we are not using at all the resources so we have to discover new uses for the things. He is proposing the creation of newways of using stuff, he said that with the resources that are available for us we should create new uses and improve them. For example using a solar cell, instead of using the solar cell in just oneside we can start using the solar cell in both sides with mirrors that reflects the sunshine to the solar cell concentrating more energy in it.
