He was black, he had long dreadlocks and a beard, he had an average tallness and he was thin. His real name is Nesta Robert Marley and hisartistic one is Bob Marley. He was born in February 6th, 1945 in Saint Ann, Jamaica; and he died in Miami, Florida, USA in May 11th,1981.
He sang Reggae, Ska and Rock steady. He was a singer-songwriter; he played the guitar and percussions. He recorded 13 albums. His bestalbum “Legend” was released three years after his dead, in 1984; this is the bestselling album of reggae music, selling 20 million copiesaround the world. Marley is the most well-known and loved performer of reggae music, and one of the best artist of all time.
He had a numberof children: three with his wife Rita, two adopted from Rita’s relationships of the past, and several others with different women
He wasthe Third World’s first real superstar. He was the one who introduced to the world the mystical power of reggae, to the point that heevolved into a global symbol.

He won lots of awards like:
* Band of the Year in 1976
* His introduction in the Rock and Roll Hall ofFame
* A star in Hollywood Walk of Fame
* His song “One Love” was named the song of the millennium by BBC (an UK news channel)* Winner of the Grammy award for Best Musical Career in 2001
* Awarded the Peace Medal of the Third World from the United Nations.
