BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

"It's just random, rhyme without sense" were the words that Freddy Mercury, Queen´s leader, told in an interview for a British magazine. "Bohemian Rhapsody" writtenin 1975 by Mercury in London, is a song which its author never revealed the true story and gave critics and fans the opportunity to discover the real meaning of the song itself giving differentinterpretations ranging from the sexual to the religious aspect. It was one of the songs that the others members of the band, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Brian May, thought that it would not succeedbecause of its nearly six minutes long. But after being launched to fame with his video, became number one for nine weeks, in the "Top of the Pops", a UK show.

"Bo Rhap" as it was known by itsmembers, was a lyric in which each of the verses and mix of genres including ballad, rock and opera was part of the writer's mind for a long time. What Mercury tried to do was something daring lookingfor attraction with the “operatic joke" as he called, being one of the first to risk to combine musical genres and where he expressed a range of feelings that goes from regret, conflicts to rage inevery verse. This is why this song is known not only for the success of his band, even by the strength and style that gave each of the members of those 5:53 minutes long, ranging from a soft piano notes,an introduction using a mid and high tone, through the difficult time of the operatic part, by the use of multiple vocal effects, even a guitar solo that starts a call and response to the anger of"Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here".

On the other hand, according to one of the interpretation of the song, at the time of listening: "Mama, life has just began. But now I'vegone and thrown it all away", let go the imagination and comes to analyzing the sexual meaning in the letter to let known his feelings at the time of confessing to his girlfriend his first homosexual...
