The last book that I read was called “ Lá grimas por una medalla “. It’s by a Spanish authoress called Tania Lamarca and the sport journalist, Cristina Gallo. Myfriend gave me this book because talk about the rhythmic gymnastics and I practice this sport and I love it !

Tania Lamarca is an ex-gymnast and an olympic medallist inAtlanta. Lágrimas por una medalla tell of the history of Tania Lamarca as elite sport : her gymnastic life, her stay in Madrid with the national team, her victories andher life after living with the team.
In the book we can read three parts. In the first part tell about her arrive at the Spanish team, her adjustment to the harddiscipline, her obsession for the weight, her fight for be the titular gymnast, her first important competition, her first medals and the tension lived the year before theOlimpics Games. The second part tell about the arrived the team to the Olimpics Games, their life there and the consequence of the gold medal in the competition. And thelast part, Tania talk about her leaving to the national team and her difficult meeting with a world that she wasn’t knowing after having happened three years with theselection.

I’ve enjoyed so much reading this book. I think that it’s one of the best books that exist. I think that the people can know the world of the this sportand the difficult that is this sport and understand that isn't a simple sport , is a sport very sacrificed and very beautiful.Mayte Muñoz Lorente
