BOOK REVIEW: Love in the time of Cholera.
Love in the time of Cholera is a novel by Gabriel García Marquez, the Major Colombian writter. He is part of the magic realismmovement in Latin-American literature, then he makes relationships between the fiction of their stories and facts of real life. He uses the writting technique of changing always thetime, it begins and finishes in present but many things are narrated in past. His fans used to call him 'Gabo' and they like this novel as well as I do. He wrote this book in 1985,three years after he was awarded the Novel Prize of Literature.
The story is set in a Caribean place and its about the lover Florentino Ariza. He fell in love with Fermina Dazasince they was just eleven years old. Their love was growing up in an interesting way until her father took Fermina far away from Florentino for many years. Lots of facts hapennedin Florentino's life, he get more lovers, jobs and feelings but he couldn't fall in love again. Fermina Daza retunrs to that country when Florentino was making himself more popularand her husband, Juvenal Urbina, was much more recognized by his adds about cholera. However, everything has particular meanings and that's one reason why I love this book.This novel has an important message: love will survive without convivence but it will increase in it. That idea will help myself and yours in future. In addition, the plot and how itis narrated will capture anyone who read this book. I believe that Love in the time of cholera has many information about life in the XIX and XX century, too. Before read thisbook, I listened about it and get interested in watch it like a film. I recomend this novel for every person who wants just get into another time of life.
