BOXING A FATAL SPORT


“No physically activity is so vain as boxing. A man gets into the ring to attract admiration. In no sport, therefore, can you be more humiliated.” This was said by NormanKingsley Mailer. I agree with this quote because boxers try to find popularity by fighting, but they do not realize that boxing should be banned because it is a dangerous sport.
Boxing is adangerous sport because it is a bad example for the audience. Boxers fight to make money to provide a better life for themselves and their families, not realizing that they promote violence through theircombats. They also set a bad example for kids, since they tend to imitate the actions that they see in their sports idols. Instead of the young being taught a safer sport, for instance, soccer orswimming, they are being encouraged to sponsor violence and bad aggressive habits.
Boxing is also a dangerous sport because, not only does it encourage sponsoring violence and bad aggressive habits, but italso it damages the body. Like most people know, boxing is a sport that involves physical contact. This means that in

boxing, through the course of fights and time, the body begins todeteriorate through the aggressiveness that is created through all the physical contact. Boxers in the course of fights, become too concentrated in what they are doing that they do not become conscious of theillness they can cause to their bodies. By receiving too many punches, they are causing illnesses and bodily injuries, such as hematomas, lacerations, and even broken ribs. Some of these illnesses canbe severe and follow them for the rest of their life.
Boxing is a dangerous sport because, in some cases, boxers do not only cause illness or injuries to their body, but sometimes they can causedeath.
