What is bullying?
Bullying is when someone keeps doing or saying things to have power over another person.
Some of the ways they bully other people are by: calling them names, saying or writingnasty things about them, leaving them out of activities, not talking to them, threatening them, making them feel uncomfortable or scared, taking or damaging their things, hitting or kicking them, ormaking them do things they don't want to do.

Have any of these things happened to you? Have you done any of these things to someone else? Really, bullying is wrong behaviour which makes the personbeing bullied feel afraid or uncomfortable.

Bullying is when a person or group repeatedly tries to harm someone who is weaker or who they think is weaker. Sometimes it involves direct attacks suchas hitting, name calling, teasing or taunting. Sometimes it is indirect, such as spreading rumors or trying to make others reject someone.

Types of Bullying 
There are three types of bullying:* Verbal bullying is saying or writing mean things. Verbal bullying includes:
* Teasing
* Name-calling
* Inappropriate sexual comments
* Taunting
* Threatening tocause harm
* Social bullying, sometimes referred to as relational bullying, involves hurting someone’s reputation or relationships. Social bullying includes:
* Leaving someone out onpurpose
* Telling other children not to be friends with someone
* Spreading rumors about someone
* Embarrassing someone in public
* Physical bullying involves hurting a person’sbody or possessions. Physical bullying includes:
* Hitting/kicking/pinching
* Spitting
* Tripping/pushing
* Taking or breaking someone’s things
* Making mean or rudehand gestures

Why do some people bully?
There are a lot of reasons why some people bully.

They may see it as a way of being popular, or making themselves look tough and in charge.
