1Q What is the benefits of data warehouse?
A: A data warehouse helps to integrate data (see Data integration) and store them historically so that we can analyzedifferent aspects of business including, performance analysis, trend, prediction etc. over a given time frame and use the result of our analysis to improve the efficiency of business processes.
2Q What isthe difference between OLTP and OLAP?
A: OLTP is the transaction system that collects business data. Whereas OLAP is the reporting and analysis system on that data.
OLTP systems are optimized forINSERT, UPDATE operations and therefore highly normalized. On the other hand, OLAP systems are deliberately denormalized for fast data retrieval through SELECT operations.
3 Q: What is ETL?
A: DataTransfers Processes – Data Interfaces – ETL Processes: All necessary data must be processed from source data systems to a specialized repositories or to show to final users. These data interfaces arecalled ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes.
4 Q Witch are the most common data model architectures in BI?
A:
* One Tier data staging area: This is most basic set-up having a stagingdatabase accessed by end-user tools.
* Two Tier data staging area – datamarts: this is the evolution from previous model, having a best staging area (or several) feeding multiple specific-purposedatamarts.
* Three Tier staging – datawarehouse – datamarts: structured and specialized general staging area, feeding a general datawarehouse that transfers specific data to specialized datamarts.5 Q What is Business Intelligence Dashboard?

A: A BI dashboard is a quick re-look at all the data that makes up the business intelligence. It allows a huge amount of data to be read in a singleinterface. Thus, the decisions are taken up faster (i.e. real time business intelligence). These details can be further used to analyze the success or failure of any project or business.
